The Saskatchewan Hereford Association is governed by a twelve member Board of Directors that are elected yearly at the Annual General Meeting. The association publishes their own magazine "Cattle Call" that is printed three times per year, with a totally complimentary circulation of over 4,000 cattle producers and livestock industry.

The Saskatchewan Hereford Associations' mandate is to promote Saskatchewan Herefords domestically and internationally; and to encourage the breeding of efficient, high-quality Herefords.

The Breed You Can Trust

The Saskatchewan Hereford Association (SHA) consists of approximately 300 members which includes life, annual, young guns and junior members. Directors on the board are elected yearly at the Annual General Meeting held in June. Members of the SHA are active, taking part in MOE shows and summer Field Days held in the northwest and southeast areas of the province. The Saskatchewan Hereford Association is very proud of their junior members. They are a very active group of young men and women who exhibit animals throughout the province and across the country. Herefords, with their distinctive white faces, are easily recognizable and maintain their pure breeding lineage. They also exhibit excellent crossbreeding capabilities with other breeds, resulting in enhanced heterosis.
